Proposal to Host a Fundraiser

What is a fund-raiser?
Fundraisers have a purpose of raising significant dollars, which are used to donate to another non-profit or support a need of the parish/ parish ministry.

How is a fundraiser different than a Collection Drive or Parish Community Event?
Collection Drives are collecting physical goods for donation. Community Events are community-building events that may or may not have a fee, with a target purpose to cover the cost of the actual event.

For a fundraiser proposal to be approved, there must be a clear need for the funds and must be related to our disciple-making mission. The primary and most effective method for fundraising is through the parish's general stewardship or special collections. Our pastor prefers ministries to focus their resources to further other aspects of the disciple-making mission other than fund-raising.

After your proposal is submitted, someone will reach out to you for further discussion.

Who will the funds be distributed to?

Provide your general estimates at this time or historical comparisons.

We try to space similar fundraisers apart. View the current parish calendar, and seek a timeframe that appears about 2-4 weeks apart from a similar type of fundraiser.
