Gabriel's Guardians

Gabriel’s Guardians is a ministry comprised of volunteers who work in conjunction with church leadership, staff, and other ministries to promote a peaceful and welcoming environment for our parishioners as we worship during Mass and facilitate intervention if a concern arises. The Guardians will use their observation skills to identify discrepancies in behavior, communicate to understand intentions in a non-confrontational manner, and de-escalate any potential disturbances.

The Guardians will also be trained to help mass attendees in various other situations including severe weather, fire, and medical emergencies to name a few. The goal is to continue to maintain the welcoming environment that St. Gabriel has always provided and not to be a distraction to the mass experience in any way. Everyone can be a candidate for this ministry as we will provide the appropriate training needed to serve.
